School Profile
It is well
known that a good start of any project would put it on the
right track and would guarantee the future best results.
This notion is even more important when it comes to schools
to encourage parents to put -in full confidence- their most
precious objects in life in the hands of Horizon School:
their children.
This is the basic definition of Horizon School which is
echoed in everything the school does, the concept, the
vision and the mission.
The Concept
The program shall equip student with strong linguistic
abilities in two main language: English and Arabic (written
and spoken) in addition to a third language, French
(conversational/communicative). The school program shall
offer the Syrian curriculum enriched, supported and enhanced
by math and science curricula in English, this certainly
will lead to the Syrian Baccalaureate and will boost the
students’ admission to other international universities.
The Vision
In Syria, we found that the need can be summarized as
follows:
- A need for a school program where a student can get well-rounded education, strong linguistic abilities, and
learn how to use technology as a learning tool.
- The school shall open a Special Needs Centre for the
students who may require it. The centre will offer
services
as of diagnosis, evaluation, to rehabilitation in an aim to
integrate them into the internal school’s society to enable
them to merge in the external society.
The
Mission :
The school will meet the needs of the families who are, in general:
_Seeking a school offering the Syrian Baccalaureate Program.
_Seeking a school that offers an enriched, supported and enhanced scientific,
math curriculum that qualifies the students to be admitted in international
universities.

three main languages.

(ren) through a program offering music and fine arts as basic subjects.
_Seeking a school that strengthens roots and commitment to the heritage and Arab
social traditions, building supportive and enthusiastic students for their
country’s national issues.
_Seeking a school that acknowledges the fact that technology and computer are an
essential part of each business, service and household and must therefore be
part of any school program to be used as a learning tool.
_Seeking a school with a learning environment where their child (ren) can take
risks and learn from them, can become seekers of information by asking the right
questions, are allowed to think critically, and practice cognitive, social and
emotional problem-solving.

uniqueness of each child and empowers her/him to become good decision makers.
